Connected

I have just begun reading the book “The Power” by Rhonda Byrne. I have barely gone past the first 10 pages and she talks about how everything in this Universe is a by-product of “love”. So true indeed. Very well said !  I began pondering about it deeper and realized how each one of us is so innately connected to one another, whether we realize it or not. Going by that logic, it became apparent to me as to how as a society we are  unpleasant. Sad but true. 

Here is why. Lately there are more wars and unrest and in addition natural disasters, climate change… blah blah… Doesn’t all of this stem from insecurity in individuals ? In other words – Fear…. Fear can be so detrimental to mankind. Especially in the current times, we have become over cautious, over protective and over alert about everything around us, all in the name of “being aware”. All of the above can only cause one to be more and more fearful of one another. Collective fear makes a society of collective fools. Going by the logic of we are connected to  nature, it is perhaps the fear that causes for nature to feed off of our energy, thus an upsurge in natural calamities and climate change…. 

For this stop, a change needs to happen “within”. We need to develop a sense of trust amongst us as human beings. We need to allow for small errors to happen in our lives, as life’s way of showing that it is ok to make mistakes and learn from. I envision a “free society”… a revolutionary thought, but for sure an achievable one. I choose to make that first step towards change… within “me”. I will live to see the day this society is “trust based”. Its a conviction !
